Celebrate Kindness Week
Adams students will be celebrating “Kindness” January 19-23 throughout the school day with activities in the classroom and on the playground. Our first grade students are reading the book; How Full is Your Bucket by Tom Rath. They plan on following the story with a “Compliment Bucket” for students to write compliments to each other the entire week. Our second grade students will be creating a kindness garden. An idea taken from the Glsen website who is the sponsor of Kindness week. http://www.glsen.org/sites/default/files/Elementary%20Lesson-Garden%20of%20Kindness.pdf Please ask your child what activities they are doing in their classroom this week. I also encourage you to highlight one specific area or action your child has done at home with an appreciation to him or her each day.

FREE Dinner at Adams
Beginning Monday, February 2nd our Cafeteria will be serving FREE dinner to all children 0-18 years of age and to adults for $4.00 a person. The free dinner program is being funded through the federal government to ensure all children eat a nutritious dinner. I will be sending home a menu and more information as the date approaches.
