Art Show and Open House
Our annual Open House is combined this year with the Art Show. Please save the date: Thursday, April 16th from 5:00-7:00pm.
We will have food trucks available for dinner. We are also conducting a book faire in the library.
Thank you for support this event as we introduce our school to many incoming TK/Kindergarten students for the 2015-2016 school year.
Annual Verification of Address
Just a friendly reminder, please turn in your verification of address to Ernestina, our office coordinator, by the end of April.
Your child’s does not have a space reserved for the 2015-2016 school year until we receive this information.
Adult English Classes
Adult English classes will begin on April 7th at 8:30am in the Parent Resource Room.

Free childcare is available for non-school aged children, sponsored through our PTA.
Arbor Day Celebration
We will be celebrating Arbor Day on April 21st at 9:00am at an all school assembly as well as in the classroom.
Earl Warren Fair Tickets
Our front office is selling pre-sale wristband tickets to the Earl Warren Fair.
The last day to purchase discounted fair tickets is Monday, April 27th. Prices are the following:
- Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th - $17.00 each
- Friday, May 1st- Sunday, May 3rd - $22.00 each
Our sixth grade students and kindergarten students will be taking part in a promotion ceremony on the following dates:
- Sixth Grade: June 9th at 6:00pm
- Kindergarten Promotion: June 10th at 9:00am
We have eight students that will be competing in the SBCC Special Olympics on Friday, April 17th. Go students!
Smarter Balanced Assessment
All of our 3-6th grade students will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) May 11-22nd in ELA and Math.
The SBAC is a summative assessment aligned to the Common Core State Standards and is designed to inform principals, teachers, parents and students towards the students learning trajectory.
The assessment is administered online. I encourage every parent to sit down with his or her child to take the practice test in order to gain familiarity with the testing format.

Science Discovery Day at SBCC
Santa Barbara City College's Science Discovery Day is just around the corner. The event is scheduled for April 25th.
